Grower Export Certifications Workshops
Export Nursery Growers can receive a HDOA certification for export of product to Mainland states. This requires them to stay current with BMPs.

MyIPM App: Multi-state Collaboration
MyIPM app is an inter-state collaboration with BugWood and the University of Georgia. Currently launched a MyIPM Hawaii app version with over 20 ornamental pests included.

Landscape Magazine : Landscape Industry Council of Hawaii (LICH)
Worked with Editors Russell Galanti and Hannah Lutgen to publish several extension publications in the Hawaii Landscape magazine.

Crop Knowledge Master
As part of a NIFA CPPM grant, collaborator Mark Wright and I have been making updates to the Crop Knowledge Master website. The main UH pest and disease management website.

Pesticide safety & Application Workshops
Pesticide safety, application, rate calculation, PPE, and tank mix workshops at Waiakea Research Station accompanied with two CTAHR extension publications, and HDOA Continuing Education Units/Credits (EDUs).

Grower Forums
Participation in Grower Forums during years 2021, 2022, and 2023 in collaboration with Hawaii Floriculture and Nursery Association (HFNA). These extension events are an opportunity for industry, breeders, researchers, and CTAHR extension to discuss relevant issues the industry currently faces.

Import Replacement -Field Day/Workshops
Due to the new HDOA Myrtaceae ban, Eucalyptus can no longer be imported into Hawaii. As part of an HDOA Specialty Crop Block Grant an import replacement program and extension events were held on all four major islands: Hawaii, Kauai, Maui and Oahu.

Hilo Hospital- Flower Donation Program
Flowers harvested from ornamental research projects are continually donated to the Hilo Medical Center. This project originated during the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to this day.

Hawaii Floriculture & Nursery Association: Wedding Celebrations
In collaboration with HFNA a three-day work shop involving various farm tours, design tutorials and presentations. A collaboration among growers, extension, researchers, florists and floral designers.

CTAHR Ornamental Webinar Series
A three part seminar series that discussed relevant and new sanitation and cultural management practices for Hawaii ornamentals. In collaboration with CTAHR Ornamental Extension agents: Hannah Lutgen, James Keach, and Russell Galanti
